UPDATE: Debra Medina Town Hall Meeting
From the Medina for Texas Campaign:
The Debra Medina Town Hall meeting for Tuesday, February 2nd is still on, BUT, due to scheduling conflicts and her campaign taking off like wild fire, Mrs. Medina will not be able to make it in person but is sending her campaign manager who knows how Mrs. Medina thinks on the issues and will be able to answer questions. Canceling the event is not really an option and we should let others know that at least her campaign wants to continue to have the Town Hall meeting and get Mrs. Medina’s viewpoints out to the public. We need to continue to spread the word about Mrs. Medina and keep her name in front of the voters. Her popularity and support among voters is growing by leaps and bounds so she has to work her schedule as best she can at this time and for the month of February. I will contact the media (t.v. stations and Standard Times to let them know of the change). Please continue to urge people to come to the Town Hall meeting.
Rick Green will be SATP Guest Speaker
Mr. Rick Green will be the guest speaker at the San Angelo TEA Party’s monthly meeting, Tuesday, February 9th.
Mr. Green speaks across the nation on the importance of our concentrated efforts to preserve liberty and pass the torch of freedom to future generations. He speaks to about 100,000 people in live audiences, each year, and millions more through radio and television. He has shared the stage with such noted speakers as Zig Ziglar, Alan Keyes and Peter Lowe.
Texas Board of Education: Social Studies TEKS
I received this from the Peter Morrison Report. I thought it was worth passing on.
As many of you know, the State Board of Education is about to consider the new Social Studies TEKS. Social studies is the primary avenue of left wing propaganda into our schools. This is
where they portray America as an evil country, bowdlerize our religious heritage and clutter the biographies of George Washington and Sam Houston with scores of marginal, politically correct token figures chosen primarily because of their race or gender.
Call to Action for ALL Texans
THIS IS NOT AN EVENT HOSTED BY ANY GROUP! THIS IS A CALL TO ACTION FOR ALL TEXANS!
How can Texas protect itself from an out of control federal government? Nullification. Nullification is not secession. It is the process through which the power of the 10th amendment can be exercised.
